First Kokanee trip and Wonderbread now available!

The Weekly Report The first official Kokanee trip of 2024 is in the books and the fishing, especially for this time of year, was excellent!  We landed a total of 17 Kokanee and 1 Rainbow on Jordanelle Reservoir, near Park City, Utah.  Some of the Kokanee were small, and because they were caught near the surface and water temps were 37 degrees, releasing them was no problem.  We still brought home several big salmon for the grill.  All of our fish were caught in the top 20’ of the water column and the preferred colors were pink, purple, gold, orange…

Ice Fishing Tips

The Weekly Report The Frozen Frenzy Ice Fishing tournament took place at Strawberry Reservoir, Utah this past Saturday. We did not fish in the tournament, but I was lucky enough to do some ice fishing at Strawberry with a cousin and uncle. We had a great time together and many fish were caught. Last year I began experimenting using Kokanee flashers while ice fishing. I was blown away with the results, when using the proper size, style, color, etc. The…
